This Privacy Policy will help you understand the types of personal data that we may collect and process in the course of your use of our website, devices, applications, and services (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Services”), the purposes for which we process such data and the lawful bases for our processing, and your rights as your personal data. This Privacy Policy will also explain how your personal information is disclosed and transmitted to the receivers. 

1.The types of information we collect
We may collect relevant information (hereinafter referred to as “Materials”) in connection with your use of our Services.

1.1 Contact information that you expressly provide to us

We may request certain contact information from you in order to provide certain features of our Services to you. For instance:

  • You may opt in to receive marketing emails from us by providing your name and email address. 
  • You may be able to create an account on our website in order to obtain support services for our products, such as to participate in our Most Valued Partner (MVP) Program.   • Location information such as GPS data, WLAN access location, device time zone, and local time and environment information (e.g., temperature, humidity, air quality data).
  • Application information such as the identity of installed apps and software and how they are used, including the time of installation and uninstallation and usage frequency.

1.3 Information associated with cookies and web beacons

We use cookies and web beacons to provide our Services:
A cookie is a small text file that we may store on your device, with your consent, when you use our Services, such as visiting one of our websites. 
Our cookies store the following information:

  • your login and verification information for our Services
  • your preferred language and version of our Services (e.g., our website directed to the EU region)

Edimax will not disclose your personal data to third parties except with your consent, to comply with requirements of legal authorities, to prevent or investigate fraud or other illegal acts, and within the limits permitted by law, to protect the rights, property, and safety of Edimax and its personnel, our service providers, users or the public.

The personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to our affiliated companies and service providers in a third country. All such transfers will comply with this Privacy Policy and are subject to the appropriate safeguards required under relevant laws and regulations.
